About NAPHA
Welcome to
the internet site of the Namibia Paragliding and Hang Gliding
Association.
NAPHA is the Controlling and Licensing Authority for the
recreational sport of Hang gliding and Paragliding in Namibia. The detailed
rules governing the operations and procedures relating to Hang gliding and
Paragliding are shown in the Rules and
Regulations section.

About AeroClub Namibia
The AeroClub
Namibia reports directly to DCA and FAI. They exist to control and promote air
sports in Namibia. The following associations are members of the AeroClub;

NAPHA, b)
Soaring Society of Namibia, c) Windhoek Radio Flyers, d) Power Flying
Association, e) Experimental Aircraft Society, f) Parachute Association of
Namibia and g) Microlight Associaton of Namibia.

Biographical Information
Namibia is a desert-like country bordering South Africa,
Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Angola. There are about 2 million people in
Namibia with Windhoek the capital. The official language is English with German
and Afrikaans well spoken by most Europeans. There are 13 different ethnical
